Sheet Piles can be used for permanent or temporary applications. Temporary applications can be cofferdams, shoring, support structures and large infrastructure projects like railroads, road construction, and excavations, especially when groundwater is quite shallow.

Each temporary retaining wall is unique, and often calls for a specific steel solution that the construction firm may not have in their stocks, or that it would not be able to reuse in other projects.

ArcelorMittal developed a rental service for customers making a temporary or rare use of sheet piles. We can offer this service because sheet piles are strong and flexible construction elements, retaining their intrinsic properties after each use and, with proper handling and repairing, they may be used from 5 to 10 times.

Our stock and service facilities in France, Germany and UK stock a large quantity of sheet piles for fast supply (sales) and for rental.

Moreover, sheet piling is a very sustainable option: re-using multiple times the sheet piles reduces their environmental impact, and even more when they are recycled at the end of the service life, so that they can be used in the production process of new steel products.
